# Alerting

> Set up alerts so your team is notified when an integration needs attention.

Alerts notify you by email when something goes wrong in your integrations, so you don't have to monitor them manually.

Navigate to **More → System → Alerts** for the environment-wide overview, or configure alerts directly on the **Alerts** tab within any Route or Incoming configuration.

**Recipients** is a centralised list of reusable notification targets that can be referenced across multiple alert configurations. Navigate to **More → System → Alerts → Recipients**.

To create a recipient, click **Create**, enter a name, optionally add a description, and select a prototype:

* **Email recipient** –– sends alert notifications to an email address.
* **Webhook recipient** –– posts alert notifications to a webhook URL.

Recipients can be filtered by name, creation date, or last updated date, and deleted individually. Creating recipients centrally means you can update a notification target in one place without editing each alert configuration individually.
