Initial setup

This article describes the steps to be taken to set up the NetSuite connector.

Step 1: Configure an HTTP Authentication 

  • Navigate to Clients > HTTP Authentications
  • Create a new HTTP authentication
  • Fill in the required fields and select the Oauth 2 authentication prototype as shown in the figure below:
  • Select the Generic provider
  • You are now able to configure the Oauth2 authentication-specific fields. In order to establish a connection between Alumio and NetSuite you need to define the following settings:
    • Grant type Interactive authorization
    • Client ID should contain the Client ID of your NetSuite environment
    • Client Secret should contain the client secret of your NetSuite environment
    • Token URL should contain the token URL of your NetSuite environment
    • Authorize URL should contain the authorization URL of your NetSuite environment
    • The authentication method should be Authentication in HTTP Basic Header

  • Now press the button Retrieve an access token key, and if you have configured everything correctly an access token has been retrieved. Now save the configuration.               

Step 2: Configure an HTTP Client 

  • Navigate to Clients > HTTP Clients
  • Create a new HTTP Client
  • Fill in the required fields and attach the following plugins to the HTTP Client:
    • Add base URI to requests
      • URI should contain the URL of your NetSuite environment
    • Log requests
    • Add content type headers to requests

  • Add the HTTP authentication you configured in the previous step to the HTTP client:

That's it! 

You are now ready to start integrating NetSuite within your Alumio environment.
